How it Works
In counselling or psychotherapy the client and therapist sit together in a quiet, confidential room. The client is given the space to talk about whatever feels most important or troubling. Listening carefully to what the client says the psychotherapist works to help the client bring their true feelings to the surface, so that they can experience them and understand them.
Regular Sessions
A session is a weekly 50 minute appointment between client and therapist at the same time on the same day. The regularity and frequency of appointment is essential to the work, so deciding to attend therapy is a commitment. Therapy can last from a few months to a year or longer.
Fees
The first one-off appointment is charged at £50. Further sessions are charged at £40 to £75 per session. The fee appropriate to your circumstances will be discussed in the first session. Fees are payable in cash, cheque or bank transfer.
Confidentiality
All information revealed by you during our work together will be kept totally confidential. In this our therapists are bound by the ethics of the BACP and the UKCP.
